Joshua Wong has been convicted and jailed on several occasions by the Chinese government for his leadership of various freedom groups. He was last jailed in December 2020, where he remains as of March 2022.
Goal: create an exhibit ad for a designer featured in the history chapter. I chose the brilliant Japanese designer Tadanori Yokoo.
Goal: create a poster for the year-end student showcase, selecting one of three themes.
I created an evocative and optimistic tone using one of my favorite symbols: the window, and developed the design from that focal point.
My mural for the student showcase. Connecting to the titular theme, the upper half is a vector illustration while the lower is a digital painting.
Inspired by Futurism and Dada collages, I assembled everything in Photoshop and applied textures and torn edges.
A two part project.
Part 1: plan a photoshoot and enlist a photography student as the photographer.
Part 2: apply the photos to a design. Here I used an essay on Da Vinci's famous Vitruvian Man to connect to the unique portrayal of figure.
